Why should you use a bookmap heatmap?

But it does offer an excellent means of gaining an edge over other traders who do not have it. The Bookmap heatmap shows you where liquidity is in the market. It helps traders to determine where the actual orders in the market are being made.

What is the difference between a heatmap and a bookmap?

The heatmap displays true and non-aggregated market depth data with a precision of up to the pixel resolution of your monitor. Bookmap merely converts the numerical values of market depth data, which is the total size of order book at each price-time coordinate, into a color according to its colormap.

Does bookmap have a color map?

Bookmap provides several heatmap colour scales. While the default colour map ranges from black through blue, yellow, orange, and red (the most common one), users can still choose two other colour maps. By enabling the relevant check box, two legacy grayscale heatmaps will become available in the dropdown.
